My experience with Hoover Electric Plumbing Heating Cooling went better than expected. It started with the person who scheduled my appointment to the technician who came out. This remains the same.

This time I had the pleasure of meeting Chris who was polite, personable, friendly, and considerate as all of the technicians are. He brought to light a some issues which I didn't expect and some things that simply was not on my radar as a home owner. His candor and willingness to answer any questions and concerns was welcoming.

Kyle replaced a valve and did great work. He had to cut part of the ceiling and was able to get creative and didnt have to cut as much. He was very fast too. Kyle was knowledgeable and answered all my questions even ones that didn’t relate to the valve. He was very friendly too.

Chris Linton inspected and priced. Chris was knowledgeable, polite and informative. It was a pleasure dealing with him. Brennon Byrne and Alex Adams did the work and were very efficient, clean and knowledgeable. All were very polite. I was very happy with the service. All very professional.

Joseph, the plumber was great. He found several things wrong that as a homeowner I had failed to notice. He also informed me of company services that I qualified for which I did not know I could receive.

Danny came in I showed him what was wrong and he told me what he could do to fix my problem and how much it would cost

Doug was great. Gave me an estimate for a job and did an exterior home inspection since I was a VIP, I guess that’s included. Well during that external home inspection he found a gas leak. We called Consumers Energy. They were out within 30 minutes and confirmed the gas leak and did the repair.

Called to have a bathroom vent fan replaced. Aron arrived to do the replacement and house electrical inspection. I had another electrical company do work for me two weeks earlier and it was discovered that the work that was done didn’t come close to code. Aron explained what needed to be done to bring everything to code and correctly and at a very reasonable price. Aron called in for help and Marq and Austin arrived and began the work. All three men were very knowledgeable and very friendly and professional. They were very thorough in making sure the job was done right. It was a pleasure doing business with a company that puts customer satisfaction first. I highly recommend Hoover for all your electrical needs.

The technician was very friendly and thorough. Jack and Matt did a great job resolving the drainage problem with my sink. They were professional and personable which is very important to me and I appreciated the time they gave me and genuinely listened to me while they were here.

Excellent service

Very impressed with the Hoover HVAC and electrical technicians that have come to my home. I like how Hoover sends a text message with photos of employees showing up to work. The crew always clean up after themselves and are very nice people. The VIP service plan has been a good investment.

Update 22 October 2026: an HVAC technician, Michael, came out and provided a detailed update on service inspection and setting my humidifier correctly for winter. He did a very nice job writing down what a homeowner should do and when. Another 5-star visit!

Talk about daylight to dark in customer service! I had kicked another HVAC worker out of my home just a few hours prior to Taylen arriving. Taylen took the time to diagnose and discuss the issues that we were having, he discussed options to gettting our services in working order. He was wonderful in representing his company and the services that they are able to perform. Taylen deserves a CLASS A, 10 out of 10 for his professionalism. Way to go Taylen, you are a wonderful understanding young man. Hoover Company, give him a bonus, he deserves it.

Five stars are not another for David Cattaneo I needed to replace my furnace and David helped me in so many ways. He explain about an energy programs that I might be able to qualify for .He filled out the application right then. He is patient and professional. You can tell that he loves what he does. David is a gem. He is a true asset to Hoover. I would recommend him and the company to anyone that needs a new furnace or any other kind of work to be done.

Ramis from Hoover serviced my furnace for maintenance and checked everything and when he was finished he explained everything to me. He was very pleasant and knowledgeable he deserves all the stars for good service.

He took the time to explain everything in clear, layman’s terms and provided detailed quotes that gave me a full picture of what was needed. Move the water meter in the floor and fixed the floor drain and fixed the kitchen sink. Great job! done in one day! Very nice man and very good at explaining what was done and what needs to be done.

Extremely satisfied with Hoover and this time specifically with the work Jason did. He was knowledgeable and gave me options about the leak. He also took care of some other plumbing issues that he noticed. He did not push me to do work but showed me and explained it. Some of the issues I had put off already but I had total confidence in him and had the work done. No plumbing work is free, but I felt the price was fair. I’ve had Hoover covering me on electrical, plumbing and ac work (Nolan was awesome with the ac work). Hoover must treat its employees well because I have never been disappointed with any of them.

Kevin and Colin did a wonderful job replacing my faucets and garbage disposal! They were very friendly and efficient.

Service was fine appointment. Scheduling needs work period they told me the contractor would be there between eight and ten contractors showed up late and said he didn't know why they made the appointment between eight and ten. Because they have a company meeting. First thing in the morning.

Technical person was very friendly, very knowledgeable and explained the issue that I have, options for fixing, pros and cons of each option.

I had an electrical issue where the lights in some rooms went off all of a sudden. Someone from DTE came to take a look at the issue and asked me to contact an electrician. I reached out to Hoover and Jared was sent to help with the issue. Jared was extremely methodical in his approach of finding the root cause for the problem and replacing the wiring which had been damaged. He also explained his work flow clearly and got the power restored in the rooms as quick as possible.

Update: I had Jason D stop by for a plumbing inspection and a water heater flush and he did a great job with explaining things to look out for immediately and long term.

We have had plumbing work and a new hot water tank put in by them. Very nice and thorough. Had a few hiccups, but they took care of it quickly and efficiently. Today we had a furnace inspection by Jordan and he was fantastic. Very personable, polite, and knowledgeable.

We also had electrical work, which was fantastic.

We also had them put waterlines to our fridge.

They inspected and did some repairs on our air conditioner.

Today we had a new furnace installed by Dee Algahmi and his assistant David. They were both respectful and Dee was so thorough. It Is never pleasurable to have a lot of work done in your home, but they were very respectful of our house, did a fabulous job, and we look forward to using our new furnace. Thanks Dee!!!

We’ve been using them for a few years and are very happy with their work. They’re not the cheapest but they standby what they do and always come through for you.

D was awesome! What a hard worker! We did not expect our furnace to go out during the coldest part of winter. Dee and team got it done! He explained everything simply and showed us all the work done. Showed us how to change the filter (hands on). He went over the humidifier, where the lines go, on/off etc. Explained how the model of furnace we choose works and sounds (and he was spot on!). Told us we would get a call to set up inspection date and time (we did). D was very thorough, super friendly, polite, and a super worker! Great job! Highly recommend D and Hoover!

While every repair or maintenance service and every professional technial service person has been stellar, Byron Sanders is a true superstar! Nothing less than a 6! As soon as he entered my home, Byron overviewed the services and tasks he would be delivering as part of the whole home inspection. He throughly explained the water heater cleaning inspection-assessment components and then systematically conducted the work. He discovered some potentially concerning conditions with water main knobs and excess copper tubing on gas dryer which I plan to address to ensure best operability and safety. Byron is personable, engaging, focused and client centered. You can tell he loves his profession by his knowledge, his ability to communicate it layman's terms, and in his great smile. All in All a definite 6***.

Mike was very efficient and very nice. He took pictures, but I knew he would have a hard time getting in there. The crawl space isn't meant for people his size. But he did get the info he needed.

Diego, Brenden and Aidan were awesome. Very respectful and polite. Never gave up and spent a lot of time when some roots were being difficult to remove. Cleared the sewer pipe and completed a sewer line patch near the main. Thank you very much for your efforts completing the job in 1 day.

I found the whole Hoover Electric experience to be outstanding. I have used them to install a new air conditioning unit, fix an electrical problem in my attic and now to fix a furnace failure. The technicians are always very informative and courteous.

We learned by the Hoover annual inspection that our 12 yr old furnace had a cracked heat exchanger and required replacement. Within 24 hours, Dee Algahmi installed a new Daikon furnace with updated thermostat. The entire experience was top-notch. Dee and his assistant Dustin were punctual, friendly, efficient and very respectful of our home. They explained the process, made sure the new furnace and our air conditioner were operating correctly, installed our thermostat to wifi and cleaned up before they left. We would strongly recommend this team to family and friends.

Greg and Brian came to my house to do an electrical inspection. They were friendly and helpful. Everything checked out but they did give me some suggestions on what needed to be added. I appreciated them taking the time to explain everything to me!

I've used Hoover for the installation of a sump pump. I received excellent service then which is why I called them again. Once again they came through with prompt, efficient service and followup. Technicians are friendly and efficient. They also are tidy and do not leave a mess behind which I have experienced with some others. The office follows up to make sure you are satisfied which I also appreciate. I feel the prices are competitive and would definitely recommend their service. I also signed up for their maintenance service because I always have HVAC and plumbing checked annually.

Brendan was great. Actually, a wire on the outlet was connected to the wrong side. He adjusted it and all was good. A 5 minute job! We had a nice talk, he's a great guy!

Josh and Erlind quickly determined the problems I was having with my kitchen sink and garbage disposal, a bathroom sink, and two toilets. They told me how they could resolve all the issues and gave me a cost approximation. Then, they got to work and resolved all the problems I had. Josh gave me a heads up about the worst case scenario I might see in the future if I have an issue again with my kitchen sink pipe which is helpful for my plans to sell or stay in the home.
